ABOUT US
Form & Function is an independent media publication for people who believe the products you bring into your life should be as intentional as the life you are building.
Form & Function started with a simple frustration: most tech content either obsesses over specs nobody cares about or chases whatever is trending that week. Very little of it asks the question we think matters most: does this product actually make your daily life better, and does it do so without being ugly?
We believe the things you surround yourself with shape how you think, work, and live. A great keyboard is not just about switches and keycaps. It is about how it makes your desk feel when you sit down to do your best work. A backpack is not just about liters and pockets. It is about whether it lets you move through the world without friction.
That is what we write about here. Thoughtfully designed products at the intersection of aesthetics and utility. Things that earn a permanent place in your life because they are beautiful and they work.
We are not a product catalog. We are not a spec sheet. We are a publication for people who want to buy fewer, better things and be more intentional about the tools and technology they let into their routines.

Founder & Editor
Spencer started Form & Function out of a conviction that most product coverage was missing the point. With a background in design and a borderline obsessive relationship with his desk setup, he believes the right tools make the work, and the life, better.
Contributing Writer
Hunter covers everyday carry, travel gear, and the intersection of analog and digital tools. He writes with the same skepticism and enthusiasm he brings to every new backpack, notebook, or app that claims it will change his life.
Every product we recommend has earned its place. We do not cover things because they are new. We cover things because they are worth your attention.
Good design is function made beautiful. When something works exactly as it should and looks exactly right, that is not a coincidence. It is the highest standard of craft.
The best tech disappears into your workflow. It does not demand your attention. It amplifies your ability and then gets out of the way.
We are reader-supported and editorially independent. Our recommendations are not for sale. When we say something is worth buying, we mean it.
